A beautiful, cozy cocktail place with great drinks and delicious food! The ambiance is warm & inviting. The host is very welcoming!

Okay, first and foremost: the first bar I have ever been to with a tia mia on the menu. It was staring me down. One of my all time favorite cocktails, if you got this modern classic on your menu, you had better get it right.... My boy absolutely got it right. Wow, the tia mia is a summertime crusher that perfectly balances the essence of what it means to be tiki with the vibes of a margarita. The funkiness of the mezcal is truly what makes this drink. Of course, I also had to get a house special: the daquiri al pastor. Silky, savory, and sweet. A harmonious melody of flavors melding together in some of the most unlikely places. It seems leyenda like to do that--bridge the gap between tiki and mexican/hispanic that is. The al pastor washed rum is rich, but not over powering. The cilantro garnish is set up perfectly atop the slightly foamy edges of this Lucious sip. The bartender was great. I enjoyed some small talk with him and the host about the bar program and some local hot spots. I did my best to hit as many of the best bars in NYC while traveling from St. Louis. The program, vibes, service, and drinks all contribute to put Leyenda in as one of the top contenders. Thank you, Leyenda for an experience I won't soon forget, and a tia mia I will love forever

The cocktails and food were A+, but the service could be improved. Maybe it's because we were there on a random Wednesday night but service was very slow. For food, the shrimp tostada was very good, and the guacamole was presented in a fun way! We split a few other dishes and everything was tasty and seasoned well. For the service, our server disappeared for awhile and came back when the food was almost finished to ask if we wanted another cocktail - we did but it would have been nice to have it earlier in the meal. I'd go back to try more cocktails but would maybe skip dinner.

Loved this little spot. Went while the kitchen was still open for my sister-in-law's birthday. They had a cute menu and great drinks. A little overpriced but priced normally for Smith St. Thought the taco's were watery and not spiced well. Yuca fries were huge and not what I expected. Service was great. 3/5 experience!!

Randomly in on a rainy Saturday night since Clover Club was packedddd and was greeted by some mouth watering aromas and friendly people. Dim lighting with candles all over, the trendy copper-bronze tin-looking tiled ceiling, and narrow but long seating good for singles, couples, or crowds. Intimate and cozy vibe but casual and friendly. Condiderably decent prices for cocktails and food, both me and company enjoyed the food. The rum cocktail I got is definitely for a tongue that enjoys the refined flavors of the spirit. The arepa was absolutely amazing although smaller than expected, and the shrimp packed a punch of flavor without being spicy. The bacalao tacos are a pretty straightforward choice, the fish is crisped and you get three. Both dishes seemed like a tapas style/appetizer portion but curbed our hunger and went well with our drinks. Pleasant surprise of a place.

Hipster cocktails... very good ones. Stopped by before hitting a different restaurant, really enjoyed it.

This place has a very interesting drink menu. We got a fall themed pumpkin drink that was a slushy on the bottom and a lime lit on fire on the top. It was pretty good. You can't even taste the alcohol but you can feel it. Our table also got yuca fries and Al pastor tacos. The fries were so so good and the aioli was amazing as well. Tacos were pretty good for NYC (not LA level, but they satisfy the cravings)

The boyfriend and I decided to grab a little late night drink in the neighborhood, so found this romantic bar along Smith Street. It's a dark space lit with real candles for such a quaint vibe. Most people seemed to be here on dates or small groups of friends. As soon as we sat down the waiter brought menus and water for us. I started off with the Feelings Catcher ($16), which was fruity and refreshing. Next, I had the The Jerk ($16), which had a kick of spice and dried pineapple. I definitely liked my second one more, but the best drink was the Midnight Marauder ($16) that the boyfriend got. It's so strong and smoky the way I like an Old Fashioned. Overall, the atmosphere was lovely and drinks were delicious. Great spot for a drink!

I came here with a party of 4 on a Sunday evening for drinks and a light bite. We chose to come here as it was one of the bars owned by Julie Reiner, and we also intended to visit another bar across the street also owned by her as well. Leyenda is a Pan Latin-inspired cocktail bar restaurant that serves unique twists on classic drinks with a bit of flair. I got the Cafe de Nadie, which is a take on the espresso martini. I enjoyed it. My friends also tried several drinks (cannot remember the names), which were also delicious. For bar snacks, we got chips and guac along with assorted tacos for the table. The food was good but nothing memorable. Would I come back here again? Yes! I would love to try most of their unique cocktail drinks on the menu.
